ToggleChemical & Prescription Retinol Peels
A Chemical Skin Peel is exfoliation. After treatment, your skin peels or flakes, which means that your skin is shedding dead or damaged skin cells with new, healthy skin cells replacing them on the surface. This is commonly known as “cell turnover”.
Chemical peels speed this process up, to allow new, fresh skin which is free from the signs of ageing, sunbed and sun damage, as well as dirt, etc.
Sometimes, peeling isn’t visible. There are different type of peeling which all depend on your skin type and how many treatment layers are applied. We can advise you on the expectations, as 415 Professional Aesthetics offer a number of different treatments from PCA SKIN®, the product range that is specifically formulated to target signs of visible ageing, acne, skin discolourations and sensitive skin conditions. PCA SKIN® products and treatments can help you get the skin you’ve always wanted.
PCA Skin products are not available “off the shelf” but are only used and administered by Aesthetic Specialists like ourselves.

Are there any preparations needed before the peel?
Yes there are a series of things you must do to prepare your skin, you must stop using any products on your skin that contain retinol ideally for 4 weeks before. You must avoid any sun bed use, waxing or electrolysis for 2 weeks before.
Is there any aftercare post peel?
Yes post procedure you must follow a list of instructions and apply both moisturiser and sunscreen in the immediate 5 days. You must avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours and direct sun or tanning bed for 2 weeks.
