What are Dermal Fillers?
Dermal fillers are injections in the skin, which instantly plump your skin. They help to reduce wrinkles and remove lines and other depressions in the skin, therefore restoring the face to its youthful look. Dermal Fillers can repair volume loss as well as be able to perform restorative work on the skin, by rejuvenating and reintroducing structure.
It is a form of hyaluronic acid, something which is natural to the human body, and we use it to improve facial aesthetics. Dermal fillers are ideal to treat wrinkles, folds or depressions in the skin. The great advantage is that the procedure is quick. People tend to experience no side effects, or any pain when it is administered.
Why does my skin sag?
The natural substance which makes the skin supple and healthy is Hyaluronic acid, which is also a skin moisturiser. This reduces in time, due to the aging process and cases the skin to lose its elasticity.

During the consultation process we will identify your needs and expectations and will prepare a treatment plant, which will be as individual as you are to meet expectations. If we can’t meet your needs, then we will say so. There is no obligation to proceed, as we will make sure that you are fully aware if the treatment will meet your expectations

Once I’m seen, can I get treated straightaway?
It is recommended to have a cooling off period, but we can treat if an appointment slot is available
How much will it cost?
It really depends on the treatment plan, choice of filler, etc. but as a guide price, we have the following “from” prices:
- Lips from £185
- Cheeks from £350
- Jawline from £400
Treatment costs will be outlined prior to any treatment.
Do I need to avoid any food or drink before treatment?
Before treatment you should avoid aspirin, high doses of Vitamin E and omega 3 for 7 days if possible. And no alcohol should be consumed prior to treatment.
What about makeup?
This will be have to cleansed off prior to treatment and not reapplied afterwards for at least 4 to 6 hours. This is to avoid any infection.
How long does it take?
It takes around 30-45 minutes to treat the different areas, but some contouring work may take around 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Does it hurt?
We can treat the area with a numbing cream to help.
What about any bad after effects after treatment?
Hyaluronic acid is natural to the body, so it’s rare that any bad reactions will occur. You may experience soreness and minor pain at the injection site.
Will my face be improved immediately?
Dermal Filler results are instant. There may be a little excess swelling, but this will go after 48 hours but can take up to two weeks to completely settle.
Anything I should avoid after treatment?
Do not lie down, or do any vigourous exercise for around 6 hours after treatment. Do not have a steam/sauna and drink alcohol for 6 hours after. Do not rub the areas which have been treated.
Can I drive after?
Of course. It’s a very safe treatment. Nothing vigourous though.
If I’m not happy with it?
Prior to this, on the initial assessment, if we can’t improve or meet your expectations, then we won’t treat you.
We can treat various areas with Dermal Fillers. The choice of Dermal Filler is based on the area chosen and also the level of expectations.
The process is to inject into the upper vermilion border, creating more definition. The volume can be enhanced by an injection made in the middle of the lips.
Volume can be lost around the cheekbones due to age. Hyaluronic Acid can be injected into the area around the cheekbones to plump and fill the cheekbones, therefore restoring lost volume. Fillers for cheeks can also improve facial symmetry
Chin and Jaw Line
This is a treatment which is popular for men. The filler can be injected into the jaw line area to define the jawline and soften jowl. Results in women can mean a more feminine jaw line
Nasolabial Folds and Marionette Lines
Dermal Fillers can be used to fill nasolabial folds and marionette lines. Dermal Filler is injected into the area, therefore reducing the lines and droops in the area.
